I am trying to forcast some things for the future and am curious about what I should expect to pay for forging the bottom end. Would it be more adventagous for me to forge my stocker or go with a forged 402/408? What type of shots are folks running on a forged 346 compared to a forged 402/408? Lastly is it possible to run a progressive 200 shot on a stock bottom end, cam only car or am I just asking for problems? Thanks for the input all, Mike.

150 is the safe hit and 200 your skating on thin ice, i personally dont think its worth the extra 50hp unless you're ready to shell out dough for a new shortblock....take a look at this thread, this should help you out some more,

Bump up to 36 or 42's and a good tune and your ready. A 200 on a mildly moded car is very poss. It's when you go heads, cam and full bolt-ons when you atert to max out your fuel system, and even with an upgraded fuel system when you spray a 200 on all of those mods you start to max out your bottom end capabilities.
