Question Nozzle placement?

I'm going to be running NOS wet kit# 5131. Where should I mount the nozzle?

After the MAF and before the throttle body.

I bought a smooth bellows and drilled a hole in that to mount it.

Here's a few pics....

The nitrous will get distributed further to the back more than likely just like the air does. The air tends to like to pass up the first two cylinders and hit the back of the intake. But it'll be fine.

What i see with this set-up is the bubble in your belows and the nozzle not protruding very deep. I would get it in as far as you can so as not to spray the wall of the bellows.

I was concerned about it too when I first did it but it's been through several bottles and seems to be working just fine.

Where is the fuel coming from to your fuel noid? You don't have it at the test port I noticed.

A buddy just jetted his 200 shot as per the manufacturer, ran mid 13's the whole way, it didn't blow up so it must be fine, not, see my point? Just because you have ran a couple bottles threw and haven't melted a piston down does not make it correct, imo. If it were mine, I would move it in some and then make a run with brand new plugs, shut it off at the end of the run and look at plugs. This will tell you if you have a distribution problem from banging off the wall. But hey, that's just me, if you feel good about it, so be it.

If you are refering to my pics, they were taking while work was still in progress. Eventually, I ran a line from the fuel rail to the solenoid.

I see what you're saying but the shark nozzle is only so long. It is in as far as it can go without putting it in another location.

I've ran the car on the dyno and at the track and the results are there. I've also changed the plugs at least 3 times already and they've always looked good. I think the velocity of the air entering the motor is mixing the spray even enough.

If I had to do it again, I would probably go with a MAF kit because with a nozzle, you're always going to have it more on one side than the other.

You could run a pipe tap through the lock ring/nut to allow a deeper penatration? also, the only way a nitrous run can be read on the plugs is to shut motor off imediatly after run and coast to a stop, change em then read the ones from the run back at the pits.

I second that from Robert. I deal with customers on a daily basis who had their kit thrown in to save money, and say, "Well, it seems to work..!" I just tell them to be careful. It's not my ride but I would feel bad if you went and blew something up, or wasn't getting the full affect of your nitrous due to the innstallation. I take pride inn my installs, and treat the custommer's rides llike my own. In other words, "MOVE, or at least reinstall your nozzle...

That's where I was going to put my nozzle. Where else should it go?

First of all, sorry to hijack your thread NewCar.

Secondly, where is the shark nozzle supposed to be mounted? How would a professional installer set it up?

Yours looks fine, imo. It's much closer to center and will not be bouncing off anything. Your bellows actually puts the nozzle deeper into the air stream, whereas, wile_e's bellows moves it away from center more than I would like.

Bellows mounting is fine, just get it in as far as possible. This is why I like dual nozzle set-ups, a better/more even distribution.
