Angry Leaky Nitrous Express filter

My filter is leaking where the filter "case" is put together... anyone else have this happen? i want to take it apart and seal it with some thread sealer but dont want to mess it up so i cant exchange it. kinda pricey for such a simple little part. here is the part.

I know they are not supposed to leak, but aren't they designed to be opened up, cleaned and reassembled? Maybe it just needs to be tighened up? I got the same filter so I am curious to your outcome.

If it is leaking out of the fittings that screw in the end of the unit just take and locktite the fittings in. If yu can not get it to stop leaking Call NX directly and they will have you send it in for warranty.

no its the filter casing itself. the case is 2 piece and it looks like one end screws into the other. id sure hate to pay shipping(to/from hawaii) + downtime if NX is just going to add thread sealer and send it right back. ill see if one of the guys catches this thread or ill call them monday.

i must have done something wrong the week i ordered my new NHRA burst disk and filter as both parts have failed on my first bottle fill. Karma is kickin my *** for something

Mine is leaking from the threads on the inlet side. I tried using thread sealer but that didn't work. Do you think this is a warranty issue?

I had two that did that. I finally said F!@K it and bought a local NOS Filter. All in all The rest of my NX nitrous kit has worked flawlessly. I'm very happy with it, espeacialy when I hit it.
