Default ZEX questions

Im leaning towards getting the Zex wet kit 125 shot, the cheapest I have seen the kit is $529.Im new to nitrious and I see they offer a racing tunning kit that comes with a bottle heater, purge kit, pressur gauge, and blow down kit for around $338. Is the racing tuning kit a must have kit or can I get by with just the nitrious kit.Iv heard a bottle heater is good to have to keep the pressure the same when sprayed. Also does anyone use any type of nitrious controller to advance and retard their timing?

you get mixed opinions about the zex kit but i have seen the kit installed first hand and i think its junk for all the money your going to spend on that you can get a top quality kit from harris speed works with all stainless hardware custome size and color lines and they have a nice line of accesories like their bottle heater, opener ,switch panels, stand alone fuel systems and nitrous controllers.

if you dont like what they have to offer there plenty other ways to go other then a limited zex kit

There are people useing Zex but as the previous post noted it is limited. Dave at Nitrous Outlet carries the Zex line I believe so he could give you some first hand info.
You should not need to retard timing with a 125 shot.
Yes a bottle heater is a great item to have as pressure is key to consistancy and the system performing as it should. We currently offer our fully adjustable heater for $99 for LS1 tech members.
Another option would be the Dynotune system, you will get the best combination of quality, pricing and performance on the market.

Good luck with whatever you choose and enjoy!

Nothing wrong with the ZEX kit.
Easy install, look's sharp if you don't mind the color purple.
And, from what I have read, it will let you run up to 150 hp at the flywheel.
For a lot of people who have limited mechanical ability's it is a good kit.

Im just looking for a kit to begin with and be safe with to hopefully get me in the high 11s and down the road if I wanna upgrade to a higher shot and better kit I will. I dont care about looks as long as the gain is worth it, saw the 125ZEX on ebay brand new for $502 free shipped you cant beat that. I need some facts on if I need anything else with the kit or not. I will get a bottle heater when I purchase my kit.DO you guys retard your timing with the ZEX125 shot or not. Will be getting it dynotuned after converter, transgo, and nitrious.

you didnt search to hard for the best price or quality kit because heres two kits under $500 which would allow you to buy upgrades like a purge and bottle heater and still be around $500

I have the Zex 125 shot in my car.
It was a complete kit, but you will need colder plug's, which, of coarse, were not included.
I also bought a mounting plate from Nitro Dave so I could mount the bottle between the rear seat's. A lot of people make their own, but i liked the look's of Dave's.
The kit should come with three different set's of jet's. 75, 100 and the 125's.
Start with the 75's, then work your way up.
I did not have to pull any timing with my car, but if your car has had a tune where the timing has been advanced you will have to back it down.
have fun!

Besides the colder plugs, a window switch and Fuel Pressure safety switch would be advisable.

Wouldnt it be wise to upgrade the injectors with a dry kit.

The answer to that would be dependent on what other mods were done to the vehicle. Stock or bolt ons? You should be good on the stockers. Heads/cam? Yes, then you would have to upgrade. It would also be dependent on what size shot you wanted to run.
