Default Questions: dry shot for '97 Vette

I'm looking to purchase a 'quality' dry shot kit (dual nozzle) for my '97 vette. I was waiting for the NX dry kit to come out, but it looks like this project has been abandoned due to poor results.

Below are my list of mods:
Vararam
descreeened MAF
FAST (78mm)
Kooks 1 3/4 (off road)
4.10
Corsa (Daytona)
Exedy (Twin)
DTE Brace
M6 (stock tranny)
LM1 (WB)

Best time N/A (w/ Hoosier Drag Radials):
E.T. 12.01@119.01 (1.78 60ft)

Here's my list of questions:

Being a '97 (return fuel rail w/ 28# injectors), will my setup support 100 to a 125 shot? Also, I'm using (Iridum plugs) TR55IX. Will these plugs work? If so, what's the recommened gap? (Please note: I have LS1-Edit for tuning)

I'm really focused on quality, so which dual nozzle dry kit would you recommend? Also, since I'm 'drive by wire', what are the best accessories for this setup? (i.e. window switch, WOT switch, dash switch panels, ...)

I want to put dual dry nozzle on my Vararam, would it be better to go with 'straight exit' nozzles or with '70-90 degree' (better spay pattern)?

Since I have 4.10's, is this too much gear for 100/125 dry shot? Am I going to use 5th before crossing the line? (6500 Rev limiter - 4th 6700 RPM) Also, approximately how much would I shave off from my E.T.?

Any input/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Steve

Do you know roughly how much RWHP you are making now? I think you will be okay on a 100; a 125 might be pushing it until you do injectors. You can run Iridium plugs, but you'll have to go a heat rang colder, like a set of NGK TR6IX Iridium Spark Plugs. I personally prefer TPS activation switches on fly by wire vehicles, but to each his own, a WOT switch mounted below the gas pedal will work. At a bare minimum I would look into a window switch along with a bottle heater & colder set of plugs. With the Vararam we've had excellent results with both of our straight exit & 70 degree exit nozzles, in this application I wouldn't say one is overly better then another as both have hit the same A/F ratios. We do offer a dual nozzle dry kit with straight exit nozzles, as an option we can swap them out to 70s.

Thanks,
Matt

Since it is a return style fuel system you could use a dry kit that rasies the fuel pressure like the NOS 05176, I belive Edelbrock and ZEX also offer a kit that works in this way. Just another option to consider

If you already have a good intank pump you can go with a 05115 which is basically the same kit.

I have run a 125 shot on my '97 and no issues. check out the PRO Dry kit we offfer. Not a more complete kit on the market. It produces the numbers and times also. Two vettes are in the top ten n2o vette list in sticky running dry kits from Nitrous Direct. Check my personal web for insight on vettes/dry hits. Also check out the Ultimate PRO Dry thread for some new results on a new kit going together. There is a write up on the standard PRO Dry, just search my name for threads started, for more insight. We have been targeting the vettes for some time and have it down for the most part. If I can help in any way, even going with another brand, let me know.

Here is another option for you to consider also.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-oxide/586868-nitrous-outlets-booorific-specials.html

Group 2 is based off our dual nozzle kit.
It uses a Black 10lb bottle with 800 hp high flow valve. The valve has both a gauge and heater pressure switch port. 20 foot main feed line, 500 Hp solenoid. NX dry Nozzle's. The special has everything you will need for a quality install with nothinmg but great parts...
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
Dave
