That's exactly why I didn't want a 15lber. They're too damn long for back there! (I still have my passenger seat though) Now, don't get me wrong, it'll be ok as is. I think you've got the concpet that the bottom of the bottle should be the lowest and rear most point when mounted. It just looks strange cocked at such an extreme angle.

I've got my 15lb bottle mounted sideway in the rear tub of my vette. I rotated the botle so the pickup is at a 45 degree downward angle to parallel. On the thought of accelerating will change the angle of pickup slightly, it seems to work without an issue, as I've run about 8 bottles through this way

I mount my bottles sideways as well, as joey pointed out, the only thing you might want to do is rotate the orientation of the bottle just a little bit so the pickup is in the liquid under acceleration (dont have the bottle **** straight up, but rather foreward just a tad)

I had my 15lber mounted in the t-top holder area sideways forever and just tilted it slightly like everyone else said, and then I needed to put both 15lbers in the car and put them on the deck, check the attached pics.

I was thinkin about puttin one on each side the way urs is, but I couldn't figure out how I was gonna mount the brackets to make it work and they didn't seem like they would fit with the seats in, and up on the deck gives the perfect mounting position for the bottles. Just had a buddy weld screws upside down on the deck to use as studs and put the brackets over 'em and tightened down a nut over 'em to hold 'em in.

i like that loudmouth I can still reach it also. I would mount both my bottles like that but i am always concerned about weight. I might do a rollbar mount

I'm concerned about weight as well, but I ended up having to put them both in too keep the pressure from dropping so much, how big of a shot are you planning, you may find you need more than one as well.

200-350 i was thinking the same thing but was going to try it first with one bottle. I was going to try to turn the bottle pressure up a little so it will run a little leaner at first but not fall on its face at the 1320. Do you have heaters or just two bottles?

I actually just use a torch on the bottles. Hell, when I ran one bottle, I would start the pressure at 1150 - 1200 and it would be under 900 by the end of the run on a 300 shot, with the 2 bottles, started at 1150 ended at 1050.

You guys that want to run bottle at non stock angle, all you have to do is re orientate the pick up tube inside the bottle next time bottle is empty.
I also run dual bottles for the pressure drop thing, but still can only get 4/5 passes when going big hit. Running dual heaters also.

I use two seperate systems, with one arm switch, meaning-dual relays, dual wiring, dual transducers (I don't use them anymore as they won't keep my pressure optimum), dual heaters. I use wheather pack connectors at the bottle heater so I can plug in my transducers or plug a jump wire in and use arm sw as control. Also, I chose to use the NX 240 watt heaters (little slower than 300 watters but safer, imo), as to not put so much strain on battery and/or altenator. It is a load when both heaters are going and the fan is on, so beware.

You'll be fine... And like Dave said, make sure your bottle is angled forward, and your nipple is pointed down..

I dont think the pc680 would like two 240watt heaters. Wonder if I can find two like 100-150 watt heaters. Could I mount both bottles close together like touching and rap one heater around them

How do you rotate the pick up tube? Cut the pickup tube and use a compression coupling?

Just take your valve *** off and it will be self explanatary. At this time you need to mark it for reference though. Another thing you can do while this is apart is to flare the end of your pick up tube, this will minimize phase change for better overall performance (some companys allready do this like Speedtech).
Robert

EDIT: here's one we did where the bottle was just rotated, so as to pick up well on acceleration. It works great.

I have the valve off. It is a NX 45 degree valve and the amuminum pick up tube appears to be lock tited into the base of the valve.
