window switch question

Default window switch question

I just recently got my TNT setup dynoed and ran at the track (443hp, track numbers sucked cause the bottle was close to empty). anyways, i have my msd window switch hooked to the green wire on the pass side coil pack (the connector that goes out to all the coils). Well, it read single digits as 100rpms (5 on the ws is 500rpm), so i had it set at 30 on 60 off (3K, 6K). well, on the 100 shot pull it shifted and started working, but then jumped to 110 (11K rpms, the motor wasnt doing that). the next run we did w/o the ws and it ran fine. even all the other runs with the ws worked good. when i got home i checked the connection and the crimp came loose, so i put a new connector on it.

so i took it to the track. the first run i can understand why it didnt work right. i turned it on after i got out of 1st (just so i wasnt spraying in 1st), but then it didnt kick on untill 3rd. i took it as the ws needing to start up. next run i turned it on earlier, and it kicked on in 2nd, and off before 3rd, but then it didnt come back on for 3rd. after that i bypassed it and sprayed through the shift but the bottle was running out.

WTF is up? i know smitty is using the wire at the PCM, but i tried to find the wire he is using with no luck. i believe i was told the brown wire on the top connector, but theres 2 brown wires and neither of them work). or should i just stick with the wires im using and try it again after i get the bottle filled

not sure on goats but on ls1 it is a white wire on pin 10. tap in to that and set ur window switch to 4cly mode.

mines an LS2 (might not matter), but no matter what i set it to on the brown wire, it showed 0

I think it is still white wire 10 even on the ls2
