Default nitrous pull on the dyno... anyone here a problem?

Unless it's music I can't tell ****.. anyone hear anything wrong with the motor here?

this was on 109 octane and the 150 jets, just a quick tap. The guy in the car, the guy behind the car and the guy across the shop said they could hear something, I couldn't hear it at all and still can't.

i think too much timing and too much spray (for now). which would explain why the car went 13.40s stock.

Too much timing with 109 octane on a tiny 150 shot??? Highly doubtful. A 150 shot is fine on stock timing with 93 octane. What is your timing at at WOT? You need to scan while at WOT and see if the PCM is pulling timing. With a 150 shot and that octane fuel, the only kind of knock you should get at all is false knock which can come from mods like longtubes and catbacks. I didnt hear anything bad in the clip. Scan the knock retard to see if there is any knock if you really think something is wrong.

What mods do you have done anyway?

BTW, 13.4 stock is close to average for LS1 fbodys. What mods do you have done anyway?

It was pulling like 2.5* timing on the 100 shot... I didn't want to find out what the problem was on 150. It was detonating like crazy on our 91 octane here and the noise wasn't much better on 109. I don't know what the deal is. I'm going to see about getting some tuning software so the car is SAFE on 91. A/f on 150 was 10:1, a/f on 100 was 10:1 and a/f on motor was 12.5:1 all the way across the board. It was rich as **** but still pulling timing and still detonating. We checked one of the plugs and it looked okay but not perfect like it should, had some spotting on it.

10.:1 is way too rich too. You could possibly be washing the cylinders down with fuel, which can cause plug issues. Your NA AFR is good so I would try using a smaller fuel jet and see how it goes with the 100 jets. Try to get AFR around 11.5:1 with the 100 and 150, thats plenty safe and not to much fuel that the engine cant burn off.

Are you tuned at all right now?

No there is no tune in my car right now. 10:1 is way too rich, I agree, but I'm not about to start messing with the fuel jets lol. I'll just get it on the dyno and have it tuned More money

What size jets are you using for the 100 and the 150 shot anyway? Maybe you are just using thw wrong size jets in the first place.

the knock you are seeing is probably false knock. with that a/f ratio and timing pulled out, AND 109 octane gas i don't see how it could ping. does it pick up knock on motor or just on the juice? could be a fuel pressure or fuel delivery problem however.

tough call if the plugs looked fine though. next time you have it on the dyno do a nitrous pull and shut it right off after the pull. pull a couple plugs then and see how they look. im a firm believer that no matter what the goddam computer says about knock, if the plugs are definetly good and the a/f is definetly good, and the timing is correct you are good. **** the computer at that point because it is incorrect.

I heard my car pinging on the dyno when I ran it on spray, but it never does on the street. And that was with pulling 6 degrees on a 125 shot and an a/f of high 11's.
