difference between a 250-300 shot.

Guess I brought that on myself, I need to be more specific I suppose, in the 1/4 mile would there be a big difference in time? Also if a vehicle could handle a 250 shot then you bumped it up to a 300 would the added 50 HP generally grenade your transmission or is the jump in power/torque not that big of a deal, and if one was to use a progressive controller on a stock tranny would that make a difference.

That's still a pretty broad question. Give us some more details about what you have and what you are trying to accomplish. It's really going to depend on the cars setup, especially if it's an auto car. I would GUESS a gain of .2-.3 if both tunes were spot on and the car responded to both the hits about the same. And a stock tranny? Umm, yes a progressive hit would definately help, but I'm not sure how well a stock tranny is going to handle it regardless of how much "help" you give it!
On a relatively stock motor 250 is a lot to me. 300 is even more. Believe it or not i'm not being a wise ***. It really depends on many things motor/drivetrain wise. If it were me on an LS1 with boltons and say 75,000 miles i'll stick to 150 wet shot and enable it carefully. At least a window switch. The bigger the shot, the thinner the ice.

i guess just make sure your motor is built for the giggily gas and your tranny is too, then your going to need a rear end because you aint hooking on street tires, and the slicks are going to break the stocker, and slicks on stock rims arent cool, so now your buying bogarts, then you need the matching front runner and about 10 thousand dollars later, your car can handle your 250 shot rather than your 150 shot you could run on a stock motor and trans.
