Default Nitrous Works LS1 kit? Opinions?

Has anyone had any experiences with this kit and why is it only rated to 125, it should support a 150 shot right? Has anyone used there nozzle and how does it compare to others on the market?

i have never used their kit but it seems that they have the kit jetted to what the stock motor can handle. i would go with a better quality kit from harris speed works their kits are all stainless, upgradable and they have some very nice accessaries and the best part being it will cost you half the price for the kit and you can get a bottle heater and purge for what your going to spend on just the nitrous works setup. hope this helps.

Thats the kit I have, sort of. It is the same as the EFI kit. The same "power wing" nozzle. One kit says 150, and the other says 125. Never dyno'ed so I can't say for sure. What I can say is that is a good kit, I have had it on 3 different cars over the last 3 and a half years and so far no problems. But more importantly it would be fine on a stock motor. Hope this helps.

I'm glad to hear one account of this kit... How does the Nozzle perform? Anything you have replaced?

I have not replaced anything. The kit has seen about 15 bottles, it's probably about time to rebuild the noids, just to be safe. The nozzle works fine. I'm not sure if there is a whole lot of difference between any of the nozzles? This was the cheapest kit out when I purchased it. I dont run a WOT switch, window, or none of that stuff. But to each his own.

The nozzle do make a difference. Check out this link.

I have seen nitrous works components and they dont look bad. I am sure you can do fine with the kit.

its definatly not the cheapest kit any more but more importantly i have learned that when buying products that could have a tendency to malfunction or there is a problem with the product it is always nice to be backed by great customer service and to be able to talk to the owner, designer and the person thats going to be able to fix the situation quickly. heres a link to basically the same kit

I called dynotune on thursday and spoke with a tech about the differences in nozzles and the only issue is that this kit uses a 4AN line and the dynotune nozzle uses a 3AN line, otherwise I would switch to the proven nozzle.

Also the jetting is rated at 1000 psi, most kits are jetted according to 900-950 psi, how is the higher psi gonna affect the HP ratings? I'm assuming it leans it out and makes more slightly more power than advertised. Is that whythe LS1 kit is rated only to 125 while the generic EFI kit is rated to 150?

55N 31F 125
52N 29F 100
46N 28F 75
Taken from Nitrous works LS1 site

NX Ls1 jetting list from NX website RWHP RATED....GM Stg.1 EFI system, part number 20920

Single jet
50HP 35N 18F
75HP 41N 22F
100HP 52N 28F
150HP 62N 33F

Overall seems a little on the rich side for nitrous works

I have been using the nitrous works kit now since 2002. I made one dyno run on the 75 shot and my z28 put down exactly 76hp to rear wheels. on my 75 shot i've seen 1 sec drop compared to what the car has run on motor on the same day. i have no complaints about my nitous works system and i highly recommend their product. i bought everything from pace performance.

Hello again, I run a 55N and a 29F. Never had any problems. I could tell a noticable difference between it and the 31. But since the fuel pressure is higher I jetted down. That's just my opinion. I have never heard any knock or anything. Glad to hear others run this kit. Has anyone had to rebuild a noid yet? Thanks

For a cuple more dollars you could go with the Nitrous Direct Pro Wet kit. It runs dual SS nozzles, which are the Cold Fusion standard nozzle. This nozzle won the HP battle in the nozzle shoot out in the stickies. You will get better distribution and atomization running dual nozzles. Also, the kit has the mondo 400hp Pro noids which are umong the best out there. everything else for a complete install is included. We do have some basic single nozzle kits that are cheaper if cost is an issue. We carry all NX and CF kits. Please consider buying from a site sponsor, as this is what makes ls1tech available for all.

Another option for you if you decide to go with the dual nozzle route - Yes it is more money at $399 but you will not find a better performing kit for the price on the market.
