The dry nozzle needs to be mounted prior to the MAF. The MAF needs to read the incoming nitrous to make adjustments to the fuel.

Check my web out for known good placement on a couple boxes. Mostly you want it close to maf, but we do need to know what box and what sytle of nozzle ie: 90, 70 or straight shooter.

Well it's a stock airbox for now. I'll be getting a honker at some point. I'm not sure the angle off the top of my head, it's a dry TNT F1 kit.

Well, on a stock box straight shooters are normally across from each other, and you can see this placement in the NOS5177 install manual (think there is one in stickies). However, this location often results in a lean a/f, and no way to fix it without going into pcm. A better way to do it is to install 70* in the neck closer to maf (see my vararam pics in my web) then you'll be starting with a richer a/f. If it is to rich you just start turning the nozzle a bit so some of the nitrous dosen't hit wires directly and dial it in, very simple. I have mine 3 inches from maf direct at maf and on a 170 shot I get mid 11 a/f.
Hope this helps you get started. The basic rule is, closer equals richer and easy tuning, farther away equals leaner and more difficult tuning.
