Out of all the progressive controllers we stock and the ones I have used I prefer this one the most.

So do you plug the laptop into the controller, or the cars computer? Is this also a TPS activation switch and a window switch? Sorry for the retarded q's, I'm new to the progressive controller thing.

Correct. That controller uses a labtop to adjust. And has the built in features you asked.
The reason I like that controller most is beacause it gives you the ability to ramp up according to RPM or time based..

If useing a labtop is a problem my next choice would be the NEW NOS controller. It uses a hand held controll to adjust. The only down fall is that it does not have the ability to ramp according to RMP. Its only time based. Here is a link to it.

I have a laptop, so thats not a problem. So there is software that comes with this controller for the laptop? Is it complicated once you get on the laptop, or is it a fairly simple program? I'm very interested in this because I would kill like 5 brids with 1 stone. It would save me from buying a WOT switch, window switch, and another controller. So like 3 birds. lol

I am also new to the n2o world and am intersted in the progressive controller. I was told that I would not need this for a 150 shot. these were made for a 200 shot or above. Is this true?

Yes the software comes with the controller. You can also go the fjos website and down load it to play with it.
It is very simple to use.

It really depends on what you are looking to accomplish. If you are track raceing the more you can hit right out the box the better. However if you have traction issues you can gradually bring it in. I have never used a progressive for anything under a 200 shot however I know alot of people that do.
Some street guys use the progressive to keep from blowing there street tires off.

Ha! That would be nice! What I do get is a nice smooth power adder instead of a throw the car off the dyno slam of power.

Thats not good.

Which NOS one do you have. If its the new style like in my link, Ray uses that one on his 94 Formula. Nice unit... The only thing I would change about the NOS unit is the wiring. I would make sure to incorporate a relay in the wiring.

Here is a nice diagram I had done that will help you out.

hmmmm.........that diagram look familier

I chose the NOS controller due to being from the stone age and not owning a laptop. I really like the FJO box for the RPM based ramp also.

i have a NOS controller for sale.

I liked it b/c i had it mounted in teh glove box and could change the settings "on the fly" while racing on the streets, depending if i was going from dead stop or low roll.

that was the downside of the FJO. having to stop, get out, unplug it, plug in your laptop, load the setup, get back in the car.

Say I have the FJOKWS0022 controller installed in my car, and I want to try a run with 100% nitrous out of the hole. Will I be able to use the TPS activation and window switch on the controller without using the "controller" part that retards the nitrous?

Yes you set the ramp to 100% from the start.
