When wiring does it matter if you go from a larger wire to a smaller one? Yeah some of my wiring on my install goes from a larger wire to a smaller wire with the two being connected with wire connecters. Will that affect anything?

The only issue should be if the gauge is too small for the amp draw. I have never heard of problems going a little too big. I hope you didn't mean a wire nut.
