What gear are u guys running w/28" slicks!!

Default What gear are u guys running w/28" slicks!!

Hey guys wanted to now what gear your running in yor 12 bolt with NOS.
I running 28' slick with a 3 speed auto. U think i could get away with 4.10. Right now im running 3.73, but think i broke the ring gear.

Depends on what your trap speed is, what you are turning the motor to, and how efficient your converter is...

With my old stock headed 346 setup I was running 4.10's with a TH400...very tight and efficient neal chance converter...

Crossing through the traps around 7200rpm at 142 mph...

Right now think im going through the traps at 6500 at 135.
The conveter is a Hughes pretty tight non lockup

Is that 4500 stall with it on the converter or your just saying its a 4500 stall in general?

I would say it would be close with that converter and a 4.10, you would need to tighten it up alittle.
