IMO, the stock bottom end is only good to around 600hp plain and simple. If you have supporting mods that increase your 175hp shot to around 600hp out of your cars motor..............I'd back off the spray. But if you have all the safety equipment (FPSS, window switch, etc.) and are below 600hp...........your good to go!

That's just my opinion! Good luck!

I'm at 470 w/the 115 shot

I was debating on doing the 175 if it would handle.

I do a 170 outa the hole on 1st stg, stock block. Unless you are doing a dry hit, (or need injectors n/a) the injectors have nothing to do with it. So, get the info for what you may be doing sorted out, and your 175 is very doable as long as tune and fuel are right on.

You should be okay with a 175hp shot! But I wonder if your kit is rated at the wheels or at the motor. Different kits differ in the way they advertise hp.

I'm close to spraying a 200hp shot on my car. I think the car will be fine as long as I don't spray it all the time.

I've sprayed a 175 shot on my stock block, just make sure you lower the spark (22*)and your fuel system can handle it and you'll be fine.

I also sprayed the 175 and forgot to lower the timing(28*), melted my block and head between 5 and 7 cyclinder.

Just take it up slow and keep checking the plugs and GOOD LUCK

I don't have a kit though...it's put together with parts I salvaged and borrowed.
