Default bumb idea, but as you guys seem so nice..... :)

right as the title says this is a stupid idea but i have to get it out of my head! lol

is there anything to stop you from regulating you N2O system to run at say 700psi with a regulator???

obviusly you would need bigger N2O jets to compensate for the reduce presure but could it be done??

this way your bottle should last longer (right??) and the hit should be more constant (untill bottle temps/content resulted in bottle presure lower than 700psi).

PLEASE dont flame me tooooo much, im new here and the rest of you frighten me with how much you know hehe

thanks Chris.

PS sorry if it has been mentioned somewhere else before. if it has tell me and then can the mods get rid of the thread??

this has been covered before, and the result was you would need a very high flow regulator and a regulator that does'nt cause the nitrous to phase change (rated for liquid). also i believe there were tests done the show that between 950 and 1050 is where you want to keep your bottle pressure for optium use (again having to do with phase changing)

It would not help to change the pressure and increase the jet orifice to keep a bottle full longer. Bottom line is that you have to spray a certain amount of nitrous per second to reach a given HP level. In the end you'd be compensating the lack of pressure with a bigger jet that would have the same net result on how much nitrous was flowing per second.

next, good point.

guess pusher systems are the only answer but (they have their down sides).

thanks Chris.

we have set our jetting for 950 and with a 15lb bottle we don't have any problems with bottle drop for 2 runs on the 400 shot and 3 on the 225. its better to have a few bottles and switch them regularly. also note some noids requier a certain pressure to open ~ 800
