im looking into a cam with these spec's



DUR @ .050" 216*/ 224*
LIFT .551/.551
OVERLAP 53*
LSA 115*


is this an ok cam to spray with?

How in the world can a cam with that low duration and high LSA have that much overlap? What formula did you use for that?

The overlap was probably computed with "advertesed druation" not duration at .05.

Get that overlap thing figured out, but otherwise I don't see why it would necessarily be a bad cam for the juice.

Looks a good mild cam for an automatic car. Wide LSA are usually desireable for spray cars since they normally have less overlap. The exhaust duration bias is good as well for nitrous. Any brand names or other markings available from the cam. The info. you got is only half the story.
