You want the dry nozzle 3 to 4 inches before your MAF, and indexed so as to spray directly at the center, at the wire. Should be using a 90* or a 70* nozzle.

The air coming in the intake/airbox is before the MAF, this is where you want it. Not after the air leaves the MAF.

When you blow your motor because of timing and fuel management, you'll think about that extra 10 hp. MOVE IT BACK!

you know what , i ran a 13.00 on motor and 12.34 on that dry shot with street tires, so with a 2.0 60ft, so what do you think it will run with me backing it up before the mass air?

I would suggest reading the below link, before you blow your motor up. The nozzle goes before the MAF, period, end of story. I would like to see your a/f, your very lucky it still runs.

Dry nitrous kits get the extra fuel from the injectors which the computer calculates when the nitrous is spraying THROUGH THE MAF!!! The maf senses the amount of air coming into the intake. If your spraying nitrous after the maf, the car can't sense the extra oxygen molecules your introducing via the nitrous. The car has to add more fuel since you adding more oxygen..............or the car will eventually blow!

How long have you been spraying your nitrous after the maf?

Trust me, you won't care if you move it.........because your saving your car from exploding!!!

My personal opinion is that you may gain some hp because you'll be allowing the car to add the fuel it needs.

Options

Convert to a wet kit. Being you have a NOS system, call Nitro Dave and order a dry to wet conversion.

The reason I suggest a wet kit is the 99 has the smaller injectors, your running a high milage engine. I was limited to 50 HP dry on my 99. Guys running 125 on stock 26# injectors are likely 95-100+% on the injector duty cycle. I was running 106% with a 50 shot

Wet would be easier on your injectors, your high milage injectors wont need to go static (wide open when they hit 100%) with the wet.

If your staying dry, move the nozzle as robert said.

Give the vendors a call I bet they will tell ya the same on nozzle location and probably the wet to dry question.

Nitrous Outlet (NOS dealer) since you have a NOS kit to start with
DynoTune
HSW
Nitrous Direct.

If you have any doubts on nozzle location most of the instruction sets for wet and dry kits are available at the NOS site, NX site, Nitrous Direct, and HSW.

I honestly think after the setup, testing on a Dyno is worth the time to confirm the system is where it should be AFR wise. That $150 on a dyno may save your motor.

If I were you. I would spend alittle time studing or maybe even giving us a call for some tech advice. You really need to place the nozzle like suggested above and have your tune checked.

I'm running those injectors on my setup with H/C and all the bolt ons. I however do have a wet kit and have some 28's in the garage. I just need something to tell my computer I have changed them.........then I'll do the swap.

I think he'll be fine with just the 125shot, but he'll need more fuel if he wants bolt ons or goes bigger on the nitrous shot size. I figure he can just upgrade his fuel pump and injectors later down the road, but for now he's good!

This is a good place to be! Especially since you have an LS1

Some of the people on here are extremely knowledgable and you will learn a whole lot about your car. I have learned so much I can't tell you! 2 years ago I was paying people do do stupid little mods to my car and now I'm changing intake manifolds, putting long tube headers on, installed a roll cage, installed an entire wet nitrous kit...............all from the things I've learned on this site.

It is a great tool in the modifying world!! Not just this forum alone, but all dedicated forums to specific vehicles.
