Default P & P MAF with dry shot

Will a stock ported and polished MAF have any effect on a dry shot? I was looking in to getting a dry kit but I was courious to know if having P&P MAF could cause a lean condition by allowing too much unregistered air/nitrous through because the center baffle is cut out.

Everyone seems to say no... but I'm still testing. I have a granatelli and my stock 'descreened' maf. I'm running some Logs and testing both. My 'seat of the pants' tells me the granatelli performs better... way better. We'll see what the real numbers show.
So far:

w/ Granatelli on N/A run:
MAF (lbs/min) 37.11 peak @ 890mv (o2) 86% inj dc. @ 5796 rpm

w/ stock maf descreened N/A run:
MAF (lbs/min) 34.06 peak @ 885mv (o2) 86% inj dc. @ 5677 rpm

I don't have a N2o run on the stock maf yet so it wouldn't do much good to post those numbers. But with the N2o/granatelli run, I did fatten up the a/f to 905mv, so the stock maf run will be with the same tune.

As long as you rescale the MAF ut should be fine.

Make sure to check your tune and know whats going on. Im not a fan of ported mass air meters.
