Lightbulb Another opinion thread...

Not hoping to break any records, just looking for a safe set up to make things fun once in awhile.
So what do you think... which one is least likely to blow my motor???

NX MAF kit + pump

vs.

HSW dual dry 100 shot + injectors/pump

I'd get both w/heater, gauges, purge, FPSS, WOT

mods in sig
currently making 346rwhp

thanks for your opinions guys...

Safer might not be the right question. These 2 kits go about adding nitrous totally different.
For the look, installation, and just good old fashion, I would do the NX MAF. Tested proven time and time again.

Thats a tough choice, I think it comes down to what you want the final install to look like. From the looks of it, you've done your research, you can't go wrong with either.

thanks for the input beer...

yeah i've been lurking around here for awhile, just absorbing stuff. I'm slowly but surely being lured into the nitrous world.

I'm a complete noob but after reading these posts i'm pretty sure i understand how wet and dry work. Was leaning toward the MAF kit for the safety and looks but after doing more reasearch it seems like dry is just as safe as long as your fuel system is up to par. The HSW sale is making a dual dry hard to resist.

One more question... I currently have a K&N FIPK intake. Wondering if i should just convert back to the stock airbox or is it possible to run dry jets through the FIPK. Will the oil from the K&N filter cause problems?

Thanks for all the info guys, this board kicks ***. Happy Holidays.

See the dry vs wet thread for opinions/facts concerning with is safer. Can you post a pic of your air box? When running an oiled filter, contamination of MAF is a concern whether going dry or being n/a, just a matter of staying on top of cleaning MAF wires on occasion. Both are great kits.

In the neck about 3 to 4 inches from MAF, that is with 70* or 90* nozzles. I think Matt supplies straight shooters? We include the 90*'s in our kit (PRO Dry), which can be made into straights if needed by just cutting tip off.

If you are referring to Matt at HSW, their LS1 dry kit comes with a 70* nozzle.

These are two different systems. There is no comparison.

One is wet while the other is dry. Looking past that the build of the two sytems are completly different. Starting at the bottle valve all the way down to the discharge ends.

I would look at both and decide which one you like more. Comparing prices on these two kits just can not go together.

Let me know if I can help in any way. Ohh yeah we also offer a dual nozzle dry kit with 20ft main feed line, quick release bottle brackets, 500 hp solenoid with purge port, and 90 degree discharge nozzles.

I went with the NX MAF kit and the Racetronix fuel pump. Haven't installed the fuel pump yet though. I've been running the 150 shot for about 2 bottles now. Stock fuel is holding up fine for now. I was waiting until after the New Year to do the racetronix install. The car ran 11.543 @ 121.xx, without a stall! I couldn't be happier with my kit/service from N. Dave's

I personally don't trust injectors or the stock computer...wet...but maybe that's just me.
