Experience with a ZEX kit?

I prefer NX and HSW personally.
i have had a 150 wet nx kit on a lt-1 and now have a zex wet 125hp kit #82026 for my 6spd gto ls2 i have it installed but not used it yet but i don't think the nmu's(nitrous management units) go out as much as led to believe--stay tuned because if ever one was to go out it would be mine as it is installed toward bottom of air box close to engine/header so if anyone was gonna have trouble with one it would be me---hope this helps
I have a Zex wet kit on my camaro. Put it on in july and so far no issue's at all.
Have not been able to use it much since October as it has done nothing but rain up here.
Very nice/ clean install and plenty of power, at least for me.
I can't give you any track times as I have yet to run it, but the Zex kit has been my best mod yet, by far.

All the people I know that had Zex kits have had pretty good luck with them. They arent really upgradable past the ratings from tha factory...but IMO they work as advertised.
The LT1 wet kit worked great on a buddies Camaro.

great entry level kits. basically childproof.
dependable, worked every time they were supposed to.
fyi. inside the zex dry "box" is one of the biggest port/opening noids you will ever find. its huge.
something else. prior to the member buying the zex wet kit we researched n20 vs blown motors.
couldnt find one with references to zex. (at least at that time)
FWIW
I have the 82026 wet kit on my LT1 with an in line fuel booster pump. It is a very tidy installation and I can post pictures of it if you want.
The statements about the size of the solenoids being small are being made because these solenoids are a standard item for small kits that aren't designed to be upgraded. Anything over 150 hp will use/need the larger noids. Some premium kits may supply the large solenoids for small shots but that is their choice and your benefit to go bigger than required. These kits will generally cost more because you are getting more. But for me, I will not push my LT1 any further because I'm not investing in forged internals.
I had two issues after buying my Zex. The Nitrous Management Unit (NMU) failed. This is a very expensive part if you price it separately. I initially had a difficult time with Comp Cams (which is Zex) over this. The supervisor was pretty terse with me and basically told me he didn't really know when they could replace the unit because they had none in stock. I then told him to let me know for sure so I could make other arrangements. He called me back and told me they would send me one from another kit. So they made good on the waranty but not cheerfully.
The other problem I had was that my idle would jump 200 to 400 RPM and my transmission would not shift below the set window RPM when the n2o was armed. They supplied a 9.6k resistor that I placed inline between the TPS and WOT switch. This pretty much fixed the problem.
Even though I had some problems I still feel the kit is good quality and value. But the small kit is exactly that. The line from the tank is AN -4 (1/4 inch) whereas a big kit is -6 (3/8 inch). The fuel line is -4 to the NMU and -3 (3/16 inch) to the fogger. So far the solenoids have worked perfectly. As far as I'm concerned my little kit is one of the cleanest and most attractive installs I have seen because I do not want the stainless lines winding around my engine bay with brackets and bare solenoids in full view but that's just me.
I probably won't buy another Zex kit because I know enough now to build a nitrous system piece by piece and have exactly what I want in the end.
