Default Is n2o a waste of time for me

Hey guys just looking for some input. My original plans for my car were to go with a H/C setup so I bought a large converter. Now it looks like that plan will have to be scratched. I am just starting to look into nitrous, but I am not sure how it would work with my converter. I really don't want to pull the converter back out to have it restalled either. I have read n2o with large verters puts extra stress on the tranny as well. So I am kinda on the fence about moving ahead with getting a setup or should I just stick with what I have? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

SS4000 TC can handle the Nitrous easy. Whether your trans will like nitrous all depends, they are a crap shoot really. My stock trans lasted a long long time with nitrous, over 600runs, so did a buddies. We changed fluid and filter about every other month etc.. Smaller shots, like 100 shouldnt be bad at all.

I would stay with the converter that you already have. And if you're going to use nitrous, just make sure the car is already moving when you hit it. Also, I would get 2 of the big B&M trans coolers and you should be ok. I know a lot of people running nitrous on the stall like yours and they have no problems with nitrous. Good luck.

yeah like stated above my yank 3800 stall is more like a 4200 stall works ggreat on the hit, but i may need a taller tire when i gear the car up.

on a 100 or 150 shot your 4000 will be fine, dunno about bigger than that though
