Default nos mini controller help!!!!!

I have the tach input wire from the controller hooked up to the same wire that my shift light is hooked up to (white wire #10 from pcm) is that ok? because in the controller instructions it says something about the negative coil wire for tach signal. And i didnt read that part till i did the install...................if i have to do it the ladder way, which wire is that exactly?

Have you tested to see if the box is reading a tach signal...I am running the same controller and have the tach signal connected to the tach output off my MSD.

I don't have the instructions with me but there is a way to verify the box is seeing the same RPM as the car....I think you press button 2 with the vehicle running, and the display should show the RPM the box is seeing.
