Default 05176NOS Anyone using this LT1 nitrous kit?

Ok this is the NOS dry kit for the LT1. I'm mostly curious as to if the boost pump pumps the PSI up to 80 all the time at WOT or just when the nitrous system is armed. I'm wondering because I read the installation instructions, and it dosen't say.

I'm torn on if I want to go wet or dry, but when reading the instructions it sounds like I can spray up to a 150 shot on the 24lb. injectors???

I have a zex dry kit laying around, but I decided I didn't want to use it as you would have to disassemble the NMU to service the solinoids.
I also decided I wanted to run a FJO controller as this would cut down on boxes and switches, and maybe let my 10 bolt survive.

The kit only increases the fuel pressure when you activate the nitrous. The rest of the time the fuel pressure will remain at the stock settings. The pump is there to aid the factory pump. If you already had a good forced induction in tank pump you would not have to have the booster pump that comes in the kit.

I use the NOS #5176. You will have to change the stock injectors. They will lock up at 80psi. I use Ford SVO 24lb.

Did you mean 42lb injectors, or is something different about the Ford SVO injectors?

Ok, well I plan on running a FJO controller. I'm going to be installing a racetronix/walbro pump. I have the TR6 plugs waiting on a shelf here at home, have a full MSD ignition.

I'm just seeing what is out there for dry kits for the LT1, I have a Zex kit, but I don't want to use it.

What is the difference with the SVO injectors? Just curious. I take it I wouldn't have to tune for those then if they are the same size as the stockers??

The Ford SVO are pintel style injectors. Stock GM injectors are ball & seat and they will lock up with the increased fuel pressure. They both are 24lbs but they are rated different. The SVO's will flow a little more than the stock ones.

So are pintle style injectors forced open then with the increased pressure? Sorry for all the questions, guess I never thought about different injector designs.
