Default Dry shot SS Trailblazer?

I'm replacing the factory air filter and set down adapter with a K&N filter that is the same size as the maf. So it goes directly on the maf.
The only place I see to put the nozzle would be on the end of the cone filter?

Would it be ok to drill a hole in the end of the filter to for the nozzle and cut the 90 degree end of the nozzle so it shoots straight at the maf? Also should the screen be removed on the maf? I hear your not suppose to remove it on the trucks.

Plan to spray 75-100hp, have hpt to log with and a wideband.

Here is a pic of what the K&N filter looks like vs. the stock setup.

Thanks

With a staight out at the MAf you may spray the nitrous right by the MAF without registering. Going very lean. Or if it hits the wires directly youll be off th scale rich.

Nitro Dave makes a fancy little ring setup that would work well in that situation. Give him a call. It distributes the nitrous evenly into the cone filter from multiple points.

NX also has a 180* (straight shooter) fogger nozzle designed specifically for the cone filters. It allows a little more dense hit compared to fogger spray bars, which tend to run lean, so you'll get a little better reading and thus a richer intial reading.

Edit: Go ahead and remove the screen. It's really there for straighting the air on some trucks that have big azz 90* turns in the air intake stream. Causes turbulence and poor MAF readings on some rides with the 90*'s.

Thanks for the information, but just to make sure on the screen.
My trailblazer does have a 90 degree turn going into the throttle body? This is of course after the maf about 12" away. Still safe to remove it?

Yea, the 90*'s i am talking about were/are before the maf. Like stock where they have air pickup down in the fender area.

Putting a regular nozzle in the end of the filter is finiky. You can take the dry nozzle you have and just chop the end off if you want to do that.

This will work better.
