Car not responding to nitrous.
I have a hidden dry kit that I've built for my 99 z28. When it is activated you can barley feel it. On top end it will slowly pull harder but not much. I have 125hp on it with a single nozzle that stick up thought the air filter aimed at the maf. Should I install 2 nozzle and put them to the side of the filter. Or could this be something else wrong. I did this on a friends car and it worked fine.
try this ,,, turn the nozzle around ( dont spray into the MAF ) the nos may be to cold for the MAF.... instead spray forward of the MAF and let the engine suck all that cold AIR IN .......
I would do exactly as you suggested your self. Likely your to far away and by time it hits it will be much more progressive. Also, your jetting may be crank rated which will also add to the percieved weak hit. In the wet vs dry thread, about mid posts area, I show a dyno comparason of just a nozzle change, on same set-up. Dramatic difference in the torque spike and curve. One hits slow and progressively, one hits hard and fast. check it out, more details explained.

I know when the nos hits FOR SURE!! Be careful. Remember the extra fuel supplied by a nitrous kit whether dry or wet is where most of the power comes from. If your spraying and not feeling the hit, then either your nitrous side is failing and not spraying or the maf is not picking the spray up well or consistenly. If the it's the maf, then your probably dangerously lean. Usually you can hear the nitrous spraying. also your air lid will be very cold and may have condensation on it. I lost a motor with the halo spray bar, the maf wasn't consistenly reading the n2o, got lean with too much timing and lost cylinder no.7. That was only on a 52jet.

Well its at the front of the air cleaner, plenty far from the MAF. If you hit it from a dead stop it will just blast the tires. But if you wait till your rolling, you can't feel it come on at all but you will notes it gently pull harder up top.
try purging it through the motor to make sure its actually working, with the car in park, have sonmeone hold the throttle to about 3200 rpms.while holding rpms with nitrous armed ,activate the wide open throttle switch manually, the nitrous should make the engine rev.be carefull to only bump the switch and not hold it.if it revs the system is working.next make sure it is not to rich when it activates ,this can cause the nitrous to seem very weak,at 125 you should definently feel it,good luck.one more thing ,try changing your bottle for one you know has a good fill,i have had supposed filled botles that are full of air.
