Default nitro dave plate kit?

search not working so decided to write and hope for help. i have a 99 SS that has gone 12.1 at 116 w/ 1.68 60'. that was cam only (t-rex) with gears (4:56) at 27 " tires, and full bolt ons. i just put on patriot stage 2 243 heads and 42 pound injectors. i want nitrous to put me into the 10's and i was wondering what the best kit is for my car. i have a LS6 intake with stock throttle body and was wanting a plate kit because i have had bad experience with nozzle (probably my fault on set up). my question is why does the nitro dave ls1 kit cost more then NOS ls1 when NOS is proven to work. why would you choose one over the other because $50 is not bad for something that is better all around. also, i need to know what i need to complete the kit, ex bottle heater, gauges, switches, and anything else i need. final question what will it take in shot size to break the tens considering 12.1 was with cam and gears only? i need help because i am confused.

The big differences between our plate and the NOS is the fact ours uses the factory style O-rings to seal the intake/plate/TB together. Our plate also has 6 discharge ports compared to 1 for the NOS. We feel this gives better atomization and therefore better distribution.

As far as your track times....with the addition of the 243 casting heads, should easilly put you in the mid-high 11's. From there a 150 shot should easily put you in the 10's.

My old combo went from 11.6's to 10.9 fighting traction on a 150 shot.
The new combo runs 11.3's NA and 10.4 on 150.

I would compare everything you get in each kit and take a look at the quality of the Nitrous Outlet kit, the way each plate discharges the fuel and nitrous are different. Also think about the customer service you will get from each product.

As far as going 10's, honestly it should be pretty easy with a heads/cam 150 shot car. I will tell you this now, you will have to switch to a taller tire and or smaller gears.

I had their plate on my car and only have it to compare to, but the quality of it was awesome. Everything looked stock when I was done with it.

thank you for your input and yes the gears will be replaced with 3:90 with 12 bolt. i am very pleased with everyones talk about the quality and customer service from nitrous outlet. i have to admit i have found few companys that has nothing but positive feedback and you guys have done it. i am sold without really shopping around due to the way you guys handle yourselves. i am also interested in what other components i need to complete the install so any advise would help

The only thing I needed after I got the plate was a new bellow. I'm not sure if the stock one will work or not, but since the plate is about 1" thick you will have to do some fabricating between the lid and TB.

Dave and his tech's really are a great group of guys and seem to always go out of their way to help people. Just give them a call and they can hook you up with everything you will need to complete the install. Dave keeps just about everything you can think of in house
