Default how much spray on forged 347??

I am going to possibly have to swap out my motor for a forged 347. If I do though, I really want to spray - what is safe on a forged shortblock? What all else would be needed?

If you build it for N20 use, it'll take alot more than 200. My factory shortblock took 250rwhp for 3years. I would say around 300-350 with all the necessary other stuff, i.e. fuel, direct port or carb plate, progressive controller or multi stage.

It depends on what forged parts you go with. Some pistons can take more nitrous safely than others. See what the manufacturer says and go from there. If you have any questions let me know, I've got a great machine/engine shop that has done all of my work in the past and same goes for nitrous parts.

depends on what hte motor is built for. The piston design has alot to do with how much it can take, bearing clearance and ring gap also have a large impact.

If you already have the shortblock, don't spray it with more then the builder reccomends, if you are gonna get a shortblock, have it built to take what you want to spray it with.

I think a 250 is a safe shot.A 300 or 350 is for the guys that don't mine burning down a hole every now and then but your making some good power.

I'm having mine built for around 300-350. I don't see where that would be a problem if you have the right supporting parts considering there are people on this site spaying in excess of 250 on a stock shortblock...

I'm just going to dual stage it to make things last a little longer...

i was told by a couple of different builders that wiseco forged pistons/lunati pro mod rods a 300 shot would be no problem. anything over that in a single stage, you have to start worrying about lifting the heads off the block.
