Default MSD switch

i just tryed to wire up my switch but i got confused as hell one diagram has me runnign a wire to a ground on the fpss and the other on the relay im confused!!!?? I have the msd dis ras switch i have the switched power and ground hooked up an thats all. help please!!

its the yellow wire on the msd says to run to fpss but its the same as grounded it out isnt it? Do i need to make sure i connect it on the pressure switch or what? And i have the 00 z28 auto its pin 10 white wire for the tach but i see like 10 white colors lol? Any other way to find it

the FPSS does connect through the ground, not the positive. so you should run the ground from the MSD to the FPSS then to a good ground. hope this is what your looking for.

the msd box has a ground already black but it also says to run the yellow wire to the fpss

Sorry I don’t have first hand experience, but it seems that the regular ground is there so the window switch will still have power when the fuel pressure drops, but then the FPSS wire will switch the power to the solenoid off when the fuel pressure drops. I would trust what the directions say, when you are done and if you still have questions there are ways to test the system.

The yellow wire on the MSD is just the incoming signal that will be grounded when you are in the rpm window. You can have the FPSS inline at this point or anywhere on the low amp side going to ground, not the high amp side going to noids. Should be wiring in the stickies that show the different ways to do it.

i kinda get it but im still a little lost. I have the black grounded red on switched white goes to take where does yellow grey and orange go?

Think of the arm sw suppling power, as it travels along it goes through the fpss onto the yellow wire, then to ground, but only when your in your rpm window. So, this can only happen if you have the fuel pressure to close contacts in the Fpss and have a completed ground. You could even put the FPSS on the ground side of the WS, inline.
