Default Nitrous has arrived!should I be nervous?

HSW wet kit just arrived prob spray either 100 or 125shot.along with the kit I ordered heater,FPSS,Nitrous filter,Blowdown tubes,TR6s,window.Im an auto full boltons,3:73s. Yank3600ss is on the way so is a Tune before I spray. One reason Im nervous saw a new C6vet last nite spraying a 150wet shot and he said it backfired in the intake and I saw him leaving on a tow truck. Can some1 explain what a back fire in the intake is and does? Also should I haveordered a fuel pump too or should I be ok with my setup(Keep hearing different opinions)On a good note saw a WS6 spraying a 150NX wet kit and he said he has been on the bottle for 3 years.

ya, after doing what i did, i would reccomend a fuel pump and a tune.

i chipped the number 7 piston because the back cylinders went lean because i think the stock fuel system couldnt keep up with the instant 150 shot

Don't be nervous, just take your time with the install. Read the manual a few times, if you have any questions ask, no such thing as a dumb question. Backfires can happen (although they are rare), with both wet and dry systems, usually from activating the system below 3000 rpms or from having some other mechanical failure. Have fun and enjoy your new found power!

Not trying to sound to cheap but I seen a Walbro255lph high pressure pump for under $150 It is designed to be mounted in-line after the tank , it can be used as secondary pump along with the stock in-tank pump . The efficiency is up to 100 psi and it can support 500-600hp .
would that work ok?sounds like it would be good to have 2 pumps?

I wouldn't suggest running a in line pump, can lead to various problems down the road like pump cavitation.

I am getting the Racetronix kit for my wet kit. If I were you I wouldnt wanna take any unnecessary chances. Know what i mean. Rather be safe than sorry. I didnt wanna spend the extra $100+, but i dont want my car running lean.

good luck, you think your are going to be happy with a 100 shot, but youll want more, its addicting.

i started out with a homemade dry setup spraying just a 50, then i went 75, then my injectors couldnt keep up when i went 100, so i got a wet kit, started out at 100, then went 150, fuel pump couldnt keep up and found that out to late , chipped number 7 piston.

motor is out now, time to forge it and go at it again, with maybe a new setup, i already talked to matt at hsw, so hopefully ill go through with it if i have the funds

i need to get sponsored, lol. this hobby is expensive. trying to get my **** ready for pinks all out and north vs south this year.

Just called HSW to order 1 and the guy told me he didnt think Id need a fuel pump yet untill I add internal mods,so I dont know well see what happens got a fpss. Also I was gonna go ahead and get the fuel pump cuz Im about to have a tune with the nitrous, but he said it wouldnt affect the tune if I happen to need the pump down the line after the tune.
