Default Can someone double check this?

Ok, I finished wiring up a buddy's dual stage nitrous outlet plate system with a trick window switch. We tested it but nothing worked except the purge. Can some verify this is right so I can determine if its wiring related or window switch programing? The WS comes on and is programed. Its on an 01 formula

~Blue wire on WS- Connected to blue wire on TPS sensor
~Green wire on WS- Connected to wire wire #10 on the red side of the PCM
~Orange on WS- Connected to 2nd realy # 85
~Yellow on WS- Connected to 1st stage realy # 85
~ White on WS- Toggle switch so the WS comes on with the toggle it on.
~ Black on WS- Connected to the FPSS then Grounded from there

~On the relay #87- Connected to the solenoids
~On the relay #85- 1st one connected to yellow on WS & 2nd to Orange on WS
~On the relay #30- Goes the 12volt post next to the fuse boxes.
~On the realy # 86- Connected to the same toggle switch that the WS is on so when I flip it everything should be active.

Ive programed the trick WS as follows:

~004 cylinders
~no gear lock out
~2600rpm 1st stage activation
~6700rpm 1st stage deactivation
~3600rpm 2nd stage activation
~6400rpm 2nd stage deactivation
~002 for the TPS/WOT setting which is use the TPS for the WOT signal
~On the end step is says start the car let it idle then go WOT for a sec so the WS to program WOT. When I do this it displays 8.4.5 is this correct?

We pulled some timing, put the 50hp jets in and took it for a spin. Nothing! The fuel jets dont even smell like gas. Im hoping I can change a wire or re program and it will be fine. Any thougts?

Thanks!

At first glance your wiring looks ok.

Did you check to be sure the window switch is reading the correct rpms?
Start the car and hold down , I believe the second button, and you should see the rpms displayed on the window switch. Give a few revs to be sure that match and its a clean signal.
That will answer a lot.

Checking RPM's

700 at idle

Vinny set my RPM feed on the coil pak, setting was 00

Being your on the PCM wire you may need to set it for 8 cyl. ???

Yeah, you can push down the 1st button with the car running and it will display the right RPM

I may try setting it on the coil pack, but the instructions said for LS1 vehicles to do 004.

Those are quick set or instructions not the same as the ones I have. It says it right under #1 in small red letters. I wasnt surprised it was that way, most tachs have to be hooked up like a 4cyl also.

Besides, its reading the RPM as mentioned above so I dont see how that is the problem.

If it is reading the right rpms then that is not your problem.

look at the window switch and press full throttle, with the engine off. A zero should change to a "1" when tps gets activated.

The start it and rev it up.
Another zero should change to a "1" when the rpm is in its window.

If both of those happen then you know the window switch is working.
Then look at your wiring.
Like where are the solenoids grounded?
Do you have an FPSS?
Double check 12V+ on relay etc.

Ill give that a shot. Im going to check all the wiring today after work, just wanted to make sure it was right 1st. I do have a FPSS, the ground from the WS is hooked to it.

Oh ok. Although that works, I don't like wiring it like that because it gets kinda confusoing if you use a gear-lockout feature. Ifyour fpss trips even for a fraction of a second, when the window switch comes back on, it will thing your in first again.

Another thing to check now is if you window switch stays powered during a run. The fpss might be killing it. What is your fpss set to?

Not using the gear lock out feature. I want spraying right out of the hole under WOT. Window is staying on during the run. The FPSS is set at what ever it was when it came out of the pack. Havent touched it.

Got it! Traced all the wires all seemed fine. Tested the solenoids and in the end led me to the FPSS mentioned above, I backed the allen head plug out a half a turn and bam it worked. Problem solved. Thanks for the help!
