No running the 40 gap won't hurt anything with the 100 shot. You will feel it if it misses on the bottle. The larger gap will make the car idle better, run a little crisper, and increase mpg over the tighter gaps.

Nate, Thanks for the info. I'm going to give it a try. But if it misses I should gap them back to .036 or .038 ?
