I have sprayed 475-500 and could tell you first hand that with 4 head bolts there isn't anything you could do to keep those heads down next to welding them.We have tried everything and have come close ,but still push some water.
Why do you want to spray 500?Try making some more na power and less of a shot.Unless you enjoy tearing it apart after every pass.

With the larger shots you will for sure need alot of top notch internals.Im finishing up my motor and i have L19 headstuds and block and heads have been o ringed so im running copper now.As for how much it will hold with my setup ill be finding out this season.I don't know anybody that has lifted a L19 headstud with o rings and copper gasket. You might wanna call kurt at W2W and talk to him he can set you straight.I know that you will have a **** load of money in the motor to make it right though.Good luck and send us pictures if you dare.

not to hijack his thread or anything...but lets say you had that LSx block...and you built the motor primarily for N2O, would spraying a 300 shot be reasonable?? I mean i know someone spraying a 250 shot on a 408 LS1....so i would assume that an LSx block with the right internals/tuning should hold a 300 shot with no problem..Am i correct??

My forged 347 has seen a 300 shot. A properly built LSx block will easily be able to take a 300.

Not so sure about that. or maybe they have different ones. We have rocked Compstars to 900 rwhp on a mustang dyno

Than again i think the pistons will go before the rods.

FYI Im going to hit mine with a 500 this year for sure.

Holly Hell whats the reason behind that much nitrous... WAYYYYY too much money for me but the parts that will be needed will have to be top notch no doubt about that. Even when i build my forged 383 i wont go past 250 unless its a money pass .

400hp shot with no problems? Sounds like you should just go ask your friend.

its not so much the pistions ect. with the rightsetup rods crank pistions, you can hit it with500 worth.
themain issue with thels1 are the heads lifting and pushingwater.
the parts might hold up, butonce you start pushingwater, beware of hydrolock andkiling gasketseveryrunect ect.

its very hard to say. do you have the fuel system to suport it, do you use the correct fuel, ect ect.
im going to have to say unless you have a great tune with all the right parts it will not work, and if it does, it wont be for long.

Look at what Sonic is saying as he's sprayed that much. I've gone as much as 450 and these heads don't like it.
