Default ??? for people that fill thier own bottles

I just got my nitrous fill station set up. I'm not using a pump I'm just going to put the bottle in the freezer and buy a cheap scale to gauge how much nitrous I'm getting in the bottle. I just set it up and cracked the mother bottle open to check that none of my fittings were leaking and noticed alot of air in the system. Do you have any pointers for filling bottles without getting alot of air in it or does it even matter as long as you have a purge on the car?

Thanks.

what i did was put a high pressure valve at the end of the main line that came with the filling station, added a 6" 6-an line onto that. im able to purge the hole line from there, then i put the line on the small bottle. tighten it down, open the valve on the line, then loosen the fitting on the small bottle just a tad. let it leak out for a second, then open up the small bottle. small bottle being the 10 pounder or what ever your filling.

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know.
