I'm not sure about an 06, but on my 01 I do believe that even with TC off the DBW was closing the throttle blade at pedal WOT. I'm not sure how that would work while on the spray, hopefully it would richen up along with the timing cut eneough to keep you ok. And your window switch would cut it off if comp mode got your rpm too low. I don't recall what the tables were to force blade WOT when the pedal is WOT, but I did narrow it down to only a few tables.
