Default Stock short block + direct port how much ??

m getting my car ready for atrack even in july so i need the help asap.. i already have my long tubes and turn downs no exhaust and fast 90 90. getting ready to order my head and cam in the next week or so .. looking for about 450 rwhp....

now the question is how big of a shot with a direct port and progressive ?
or should i look at another kit maybe just a simpler dry or wet kit .. looking for a 200 shot but i heard that might be pushing a stock block with 450rwhp.

would be happy with 150 shot but really leaning towards 200+ and direct port.
looking for a 600rwhp+ on the stock H/C engine and spray..i knw its been
done before so i just wanna be another one that does it .

what kind of injectors would be needed. i will eventually build a 400+ cid engine before the years over and looking for a 300+ shot.

so i knw u guys knw ls1 and nitrous so help me out guys !!!!thanks in advance !!

i woudlnt even bother with a direct port unless your going to be going with a big shot.... go with a 150 wet shot and get all teh safey things that go along with it b/c anything more and ur pushin it

it depends on the kit,,, some kits are rated to the wheels and some not.. get a kit thats rated to the wheels and you should see right aound the same gains as the shot

im on the stock shortblock im estimating around 420-450 to the wheels N/A and ive got an NXL direct port with a mini progressive and ill prob start off with the 125shot
ive got 39# injectors, and a racetronix p&p.
just FYI direct port is going to cost A LOT of cash if you wana set it up right..

yeah im deffinately not looking forward to wiring, between a 2 stage with direct port and a plate system, 3 purges, 2 arming switches, timing retard, msd ignition box, 2 step, and a transbrake, and progressive controller.wireing NITEMARE, good thing im trading my stock SD wireing harness for a little help from an expert lol I wouldnt go any lower than a 175 shot on a direct port, the jet orifaces are WAY too small i think they are 24's. I would suggest the Nitrous Outlets plate kit, you'll have all the spray you need with that thing, especially if you're running 450whp on the stock shortblock. Surf the classifieds and get a used kit, then save your pennies for a DP setup and a new shortblock. i think i have in the neighborhood of 2500 just in the nitrous setup up and electronics.

yup this is true, eventually ill be spraying the 185 shot but with the 10 bolt and 275 bald nittos i dont think im really going to be hooking off the 125. i do have a nitrous filter which i hope will be a LITTLE insurance
