Default bottle refill?

WHen getting my bottle refilled...do they just fill it from the amount that I have in it...or will they drain it and charge me full price? if they dont drain it....how the hell do I know if theyre not over charging me per pound they filled.....i was wondering how I know if they fill my bottle completely every time....?

Also...does anyone have any stickers on their bottle other then the make? lol just curious...

They fill from what you have in it, and yes, I have a little different sticker on mine. I just have to remember my filled weight since they don't write it on my bottle. I also put a couple of layers of shipping cellophane over it when I bring it in so it doesn't get scratched. They laughed at me the first time.. now it's my signature. -BTW, you can get all kinds of cool decals on evilbay.

Find someone that you can trust to refill your bottle. I weigh my bottle before and after every time. My guy also weighs my bottle. I have never had a problem with paying for nitrous that I didnt get. If anything I always get a little free. Tell whoever is filling your bottle that you always weigh your bottle and you shouldn't have any problems. The biggest problem Ive found is price between different places to get a refill. Some people want all the money for a refill, watch out

last time i wanted a topoff with about 2lbs left and told the owner but the owner was on the phone and another dude went to fill my bottle and let the nitrous out before the fill. shitty deal.
some places may not even do a top off.
i'm thinkin about buying a fill station.

I actually do bring my track scale with me. I do trust the guy, I do it for my records. I mark the date & weight when filling. It helps find leaks and it would suck to lose a round because you grabbed the wrong bottle thinking it had enough to make a full pass. I have 2 scales, my old scale and a new cheap digital. If you are going to start doing N2O you might as well do it right and treat it like a professional.

My opinion, if they screw up & your N2O leaks out, they better eat it, not you. It is true, some places will not do a 2 lb top off. So if possible, you go somewhere that the customer comes 1st. Good luck.

what exactly do you mean by a 2lb. topoff? cause the place where I go....they take my bottle in the back room where the big tanks are to fill it, so i dont see **** really....2lb top off as in after they already filled it, they add 2more lbs? lol what does that mean.....but im gonna definitely need to get a scale and write my dates down...that way they will know im not ****** around with my nitrous refills

Me too. I bring my trusty bathroom scale, then there's no doubt on what is going on.

A few posts up they were talking about topping off. I was refering to that. If you have 8 lbs in a bottle u top off the last 2 lbs. I never go to the track, with a partial bottle.

I go to Kragens (local auto store) and they let me back there while they refil. The bottle sits on a scale. I believe it's something like 14lbs empty, and 24 full..obviously for a 10lb bottle. If you have 16lbs to start with, then they just put 8lbs in, like that. I pay 30bucks for a complete refil
