why can't you use splice/tap clip on the TPS or Tach signal?

why can't you use splice/tap clip on the TPS or Tach signal? there doesnt seem to be enough slack in the wire for my to cut it and solder it, but why can't i just use one of the wire tapping "clips"
the wire seems thick enough...

You can but clips do not give the same quality of connection. You can just strip the insulation back, then spread the wires apart. INSERT your new wire, and twist tightly.
Final use some good tape and your done....
