do the TR6s come gapped correctly?

i know, dumb question, but do the plugs come gapped?

I just put a fresh set in, yes mine were gapped correctly out of the box.

Its worth your while to double check them though before you put them in.

+1, I have used a few sets over the years of spraying and I had to gap 1 set, they came out of the box at .45

i always heard and was told to set the gap at .35

.035 is what I am using.

i saw that mine were .38 but i got them from a speed shop. maybe they regapped them? the ones i have from napa were at .35 out of the box.

When I was NA I had a set of TR55'S That were not gapped correctly. Now that I'm running the TR-6's I have already found a set that a few of the plugs were not gapped correctly. I like to set mine @ .032.

When you guys are checking gaps? What are you using? The .99 gapping rings or a set of feeler gauges? I think you can figure out which one is more accurate. And out of the box they should be a .039 per manufacture specs.

i run my tr-6 and 55's depending on whatcar im putting them in between 35 and 40
i also double check them no matter what. its 2 minitsworth of work and cheep insurance.

i've always used the little rings, with a good eye it's pretty easy to get them very consistent...

I use feeler gauges, but thats just because its what I was handed down from my grandpa

My last set of TR-6's were gapped just fine from NAPA. I'm about to go order 16 more, so we'll see what those are like!

Just check each one to be sure is worth the couple seconds it takes to same money rather than just sticking them in. I got a set from NAPA and there were 3 that were out about .005 glad I checked them its worth the time.
