Race gas???
I have a 408 which I'm spraying a 150 shot on. I like to run a little race gas in the tank when I'm going to the track. The problem is finding unleaded race gas around here. I've been told about the problems with leaded gas and the O2's. Is it ok to run 1 gallon of sunoco 112 leaded with about 5 gallons of unleaded pump gas only on race day? I can only get 91 octane at the pump and I really don't want to risk that low octane with the spray.
If I buy vp C10 I'm going to have to pay a huge shipping fee should I just go ahead and pay the price or can I run the leaded fuel?

I run 116 (leaded) in my dedicated fuel cell in my GTO, wouldn't put it in the tank though.
What ever you do, don't run Sunoco unleaded race fuel, it dosen't like any fuel solenoids.

Thanks for the info. I'd really like to run the vp c10 in my tank and I don't have a problem paying the $$$ for it, but since no one near me carries it the shipping is going to be $30 per 5 gallon jug!!!

VP's MS 109 is the highest octane Unleaded gas you can buy, 104 motor octane.
The older the 02 sensor is the longer it will last with race gas, besides your 02 sensor is on;y good at part throttle for fuel mileage.... better gas mileage or 9-10-11sec time slip.... i know what i would pick.
