Robert my shop has had several motors built by LME. Bryan knows my biz partner Dave Moore real well. We have a Cobra that just dyno'd out just short of 750 rwhp...my LME 408 car last dyno tune was 636 rwhp with a 200 shot. That was to keep it able to run on the street. I can't say how many more LME motors we have...3 or 4 both Ford and Chevy? You'll have some real fun now.

Robert,
Nice motor!! How come you wouldn't use a coated piston with the use of nitrous?

robert, 2 things. one is spend the $$ on felpro gaskets and hit them with copper spray. the gm dont work as well. the felpro have a special coating on them and they work MINT, you will find out when you try to tq gm gaskets to 90 lbs i dont think it will work out to good.

also, does the l92 head have a thicker deck?
be carefull clamping the stock heads to 90ftlb
id probably stay around 80 lb with ls6 heads.
good luck

Yea, that's what I have been hearing from the engine builder and from some respected engineers, run the 6.0 MLS.

As for torque on the heads, LME said to torque to 90 and they know I am running the LS6 heads to start out? Do the progressive torque up to 90, then go back one by one and loosen then retorque to 90.

On the coated pistons, well at my level, I don't think I really needed coated and gas port pistons. When I build my LSX and go real big, then yes, up another notch.

fel pro makes MLS gaskets???

thunder sold me 4.125 bore fel pro paper gaskets, they were blue and gray. they blew out in no time at all and i then ordered the new GM MLS gaskets that are basicly 3 sheets of thin steel on top of each other with some black rubber to seal around the water jackets and stuff.

if you don't squeeze a 9 - you should be on the low side of 10s. What are your cam specs? 245/255 ish with 640/620 range with a 113 lobe for the n20? FMS cut mine somewhere in there...with my old FM13-114 mid tens were easy. I have not run the new cam since it's part of a huge lightening/balance/safety project we are doing along with a new n20 - multistage...I expect to see high 9s after a few dial in trips...we'll see. Anyway - that's a loose motor - you'll see some puffs and watch your oil consumption on a built for n20 motor closer that the old stocker. What I had a bit of a problem was getting my oil pan to stop leaking in the corners. My biz partner said that had more to do with that gasket staying lined up...apparently that takes a tool?? I don't know. And what rear gear you using??

FAST 90 Intake Manifold - just screw in 8 dry nozzles into the manifold? Run eight lines from a 8 way junction to a noid? What nozzle would be a best choice?

don't forget to check the windage tray for clearance of the rods. at 1/8" washers, i thought i had enough. checked while on engine stand and had clearance. rod bolts just barely touched while the engine was running. having to notch the tray where they hit.

Yea running a DP I am not sure I really need to go that route. Haven't found a limit to the front entrance MAF style yet. Also, no distribution problems so far that i Know of going dry to at least 300rwhp shot, not limited on size like wet for going to DP.
