Default Maf Maxxing Spike?

for some reason my HPT scanner is showing a maf spike.
1.what happens if i max my maf past the 12,000 hz that i can tune on HPT?
2. should i be concerned about those leans spike that i have gotten so far?

on an 80 shot no warmer, it spiked to 12,121 hz from start to finish it lasted 2 tenths of a second.
before the spike it is 9314 hz, after the spike it is 9815 hz.
afr starts at 13.6 down to 13.4 for .906 seconds then richens to 12.5 and hangs at around 12.0-12.2 for the most part on a 22mph-91mph run. so afr looks good to me.

on an independent 55 shot that is in a different location(1st night trying it), no warmer, my maf got up to 11,495 hz and lasted from start to finish was 2 tenths of a second.
before the spike it is 9571 hz, after the spike it is 9792.
afr is lean for 1.3 seconds but is mostly due to the NA tune. when it starts spraying at 3200 rpms, the lean on nitrous is is only .422 seconds then hangs around the 11.5 afr give or take .2 afr. this is on a 34mph-91mph run. afr is richer than what i want but i'd rather be rich.

i've been having problems with nozzle location and getting the maf to read. now it's reading too well? for the most part i am in the in the 9000-9500 hz area and rarely see 9800-10500 on spray on the 80 shot.

i'm going to the track today and wanted to spray both stages at once at some point in the run.

If you could post a capture of your log showing rpm and MAF freq, that would help. Sounds like just a cold hit spike, but unless you really go rich from this, no worry. When the MAF reads the incoming n2o it adds the additional fuel according to the freq, and highe the freq the more inj DC is increased.

i'm not sure what to make of it besides that it could be a cold hit like you say or just a quick error that lasted 2 tenths. either way my afr didn't show me anything to be concerned about when i did hit the 12k hz.
the runs were on a roll and i think that rolls have a different characteristic than the 1/4. i went to the track tonight and on the same shots individually or together(135), my maf would only see slightly above 10k hz.
