Default How hard will this be to drive?

Bolt-on M6 also with 4.10s, hotcam, and 100-150 shot or so...are the rpm's going to move like the car is hopped up on crack? How fast will I need to shift? I was considering this as my possible setup for some fun on the street...

Well your going to be shifting a lot that's for sure, I would try more like a 3.73, the only way your going to get the most out of your 4.10's is on a slick........

Yep, your gonna be spinning and shifting like crazy without slicks, either way your still gonna be shifting like crazy.

I wouldn't risk it w/4.10's, you miss a shift bad you can do some damage....is this a dry or wet shot?

It would be a dry shot. I would definately not spray out of the hole, probably second gear and later at best. I'd be running the rpms up to about 65-6600 or so as well with that cam so I was hoping that would help out a bit. I did the math a while back and I think 4th with 4.10s is good for 120-125 or so mph (can't remember exactly) so since I'll hardly ever be at the track that should be fine. I'm mostly asking as to how quickly I'll be going through the gears on my way to that 120 .

edit: Forgot to mention, I already have a ripper on the car and I never missed a shift with the stock shifter so I'm pretty confident as far as that comes. Also, I'd be running a window switch for sure.

DOESN'T matter if you never missed a shift!!!!! TRUST ME! When you get up in the RPM to shift the car and to do the best you will have to shift like an ape screwing a football. I drove my freind 95 z on a 150 and to powershift the car it takes a hell of a lot more effort than on motor. I wasn't expecting that much of a difference but WOW!

Yeah I bet a 150 would be nuts, especially with steep gearing. I think what I'm going to do is start at around a 50-75 shot and just keep practicing until I can get used to it and step it up into the 125-150 range confidently instead of going straight for a 100+ shot. Can always back it down to lower jets if I try it and need a new pair of boxers after all .

The old 150 pills will put ya throw a heart attack after ya hit the button and feel the car lounge forward and you see your tach shoot up to about 6 grand and your not EVEN ready to shift..... luckily I have the FLP level IV auto so it shifts pretty crisp so I don't have too much to worry about.
