Default What head bolts?

I have tried searching already but ls1 tech is having problems with their data base. I have my motor at the machine shop and told them what i plan to do with it. It has a 383 stroker kit all stroke all lunati internals and pistons. I have the stock heads right now they are just ported but i was told by the machinist that i should go with head studs instead of bolts? If i use the head studs i wont be able to take off my heads with the motor in the car right. See i dont want that if thats the case. I plan to get some heads here in the future and dont want to pull the whole engine out. is it possible to double nut the studs and pull them out allowing me to take out my heads? I would appreciate the help.

if im not mistaken, you can put all the studs in except the back ones, then put the heads on, then thread in the back studs and then put the nuts on.

i never did that, but i think thats how people do it, but dont quote me on it.

head studs are going to help a lot more than bolts to keep your heads from lifting on spray, i would go with studs if i were you

yes you can remove the heads in the car. f-body right?? You may have to remove the rear studs on the passenger side though. if you antiseize them, or use the arp supplied lubricant they should easily come out because they use clamping force not stretch. at most you may need the K D tool mini stud remover, for about 40 bucks.
