Default msd digital rpm switch

i am running this window switch with my dynotune wet kit and everything i wired up except for the tach wire,but before that i tried to program it but when i button nothing happens. all it dose is flash ON. shouldent i be able to run threw it and program it with just the power and ground hooked up or dose the tach wire also have to be hooked up.

just hook the tach wire up, then see what it does. I don't know what it would do with it disconnected... should work, but it could be looking for a connection there and the flashing is telling you there isn't.

It only takes like 10 seconds to program. All you program is the on rpm, off rpm and mode. Their really isn't anything else to look at when it's on. Just hook up the tach wire and you will be ok.

i had the same problem. check out this diagram i found on here. i used it and it works fine. i have a zex kit so i had to run the tps wire str8 to the tps from the zex box to program the kit, then i could hook them back up to the relay and its great now. which window switch is it? im gonna guess the 8969 thats the one i have oh and you do have to hook up the tach wire so the box knows what rpm your car is at lol. and you have to set it to 4cyl mode, since we have coilpacks
