I'm curious, I've been seeing a lot of **** blowing up with nitrous lately. Spraying out of the hole would be one, what are other things not to do with nitrous?

 

Spray too low of RPM's, run out of fuel(bad tuning), spraying too much, stuff like that

 

Spraying out ofthe hole hasnt been aproble for me (hoosier QTP). I dont hook anyway (shitty track). Spraying too low in the RPM, howver did put an end to my ls1 manifold, along with numerous other parts. Just have the safety items and a wuality install and you should be good to go. Nitrous is not as forgiving as boost by means.

give it a good shot..............and then start the engine, lol .............dont shoot below 2500 rpm at all!

 

get light headed, be all happy, then go to sleep.....

 

I punch mine out of the whole all the time, of course I have the LS6 bottom end but I do not know that that would make any difference coming out of the whole. The thing I think is the most important is to stay on top of the air fuel ratio. Take it down and get it dynoed and have it sniffed at the same time. I found my 150 shot NX was way too lean with my altitued, ambient temp and recomended jets. So I had to richen it up al lot. I am talking 14:1 air fuel ratio and finally got it to 12:1 after ordering more fuel jets. Also I would say you need a fuel pressure safety switch and auto matic bottle blanket, as well as a very good fuel pump. Then spay the cr&^ out of it. Also remember, who cares if it blows, that gives you a good reason to make it better next time, and it will blow eventually just because you are running it hard not only because of the Nitrous. the goal is to have fun for as long as you can before it blows. I hate blowing one on the first day out you know.
