you'll have no problems man. if you have an intake backfire, it would be a problem no matter what intake you ran

i have one-very happy with it fast 90 inlet-had a lot of issues with the fast 90 throttle body-butterfly kept getting jam down low-like holding at 1250-1300 rpm-maybe a bad batch-treid two be honest- i swap it for a holley 90 ml-works killer-have a zex wet kit been pumping over 175 through it since day one-average 1 bottle a week-

very happy

just a quick question since we are talking about fast inlet- is me or is it noisy as-

did they intend for it to be noisy-even though i am very happy-

Any plastic intake has the small chance of blowing apart if ya get a nasty backfire. It's the inherent design of the plenum under the runners and the front entrance intake, and of course plastic. No where for the expanding explosion to go, except through the walls of the intake ie: path of least resistance. Now with that said, wet backfires really don't happen that often, but of course it's allways a possibility.

Are the Fast burst panels good insurance or a waste? Anyone tried them?

I did some searching and everything I found says the panels cannot relieve enough pressure and are usually the only thing on the intake to survive.

I have seen that if you spray a lot, (200+) through a Fast intake, #7 does run a little lean. To the point that we run colder plugs in 5 & 7 to keep problems to a minimum.

I saw a backfire on a sheetmetal with burst panels and it literally blew the throttle body off and opened it up like a beer can. So IMHO, the burst panels really aren't worth what they cost.
