Default Tuning opinons please

Ok currently I have a custom tune from texas speed (mail order). I do not know if they changed my timing at all and they can not tell me either. I am currently spraying 75 shot and want to go to 150. In the next month or so I am doing an intake and throttle body either FAST or the Typhoon.

Would I be better off spending $550 for a local custom tune on a dyno or should I just get some type of adjustible timing tuner myself like the timing twister. Opinions and options please. Or should I buy my own tuning software and do myself without the dyno??

If you don't know the in's and out of tuning I would say to use a local reputable tuner. Let him put it on the dyno and get everything figured out for you. Then, later you can buy your own tuning software and play with it from there. IMO

Thanks glad some one is out there. I am good with computers and have allready learned alot from this site and am confident that I could learn to tune from this site but I just dont have a dyno. So I gues my question now is get a custome tune for twice the price as a timing twister from msd. Thanks

I am also "good" with computers as i am a Senior network engineer with 8+ years on the job. but tuning and getting to know the software takes some time and learning on spray is not a good idea. you would be best to have the base tune done and have them create you a nitrous tune for each shot and have your own software that you can push the tunes. then look over the tunes and make tweraks on your own. also make sue to find a mustange dyno that can give you an acurate load to tune the car. it will save alot of track side headachs.

Its a loaded dyno. which means instead of a standard drum weight for all cars like say 2400lbs it can "break" it self to load the car to the input weight for the vehicle. its the best way to have the tune near perfect on the first run at the track. shoot me a PM if you would like more info on where i get my tuning done.
