when to upgrade stock MAF?

Default when to upgrade stock MAF?

im just curious when it would be good to upgrade from the stock MAF? right now im running 243s, Torquer 2, 90/90, all other bolt ons and will be installing daves plate very shortly.. would it be beneficial to swap over to an aftermarket MAF now that ill be needing some tuning? whats your guys' take on this? thank you

I've been told that a stock MAF is good for around 500rwhp..I have put down 550rwhp spraying mine with a stock MAF.alot of people say the 85mm MAFs are not worth the time but others will say they help I think every thing helps. I just put on a fast 90/90 and I didnt think it made sense to have a 90mm TB/intake and a 78mm MAF so I put one on.havent made it back to the track yet.I called my tuner and he said it didnt need any change of tune with it

i run a stock maf. my car maid neer 1000 rwhp last year, and is making atleast 550-600 on motor this year still stock maf.

Ditto what Brad said....... stock MAF has been bottom 9's and still relatively easy to drive...... for those of us who do not like to "reinvent the wheel" the MAF works great, and does not seem to be a big enough restriction to worry about
