Well I decided i'd go ahead and break down and buy a nice, new bottle mount for the spare tire well.

New setup is an 860 bottle mount and new style ten pound NOS brand bottle with some decent mounts.

Whats the price tag on that mount? Anyway...it looks great, you've inspired me to get one now too...

i made mine for less than 10 bucks and 30 minutes and its rigidity is quite better

Looks good. I have the exact same setup in my car.

 

I really like it...i got it used for 20 bucks lol. Couldn't resist....I was going to make my own but why bother for that price! It is very sturdy as well.
